About City Church Florida
Knowing Jesus. Loving people. Living a life of purpose.

Welcome Home
We exist to bring God's love to the city, one person at a time, and lead people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus.
That's our mission and our heartbeat. Every Sunday, every small group, every conversation in the lobby is guided by this simple truth: God loves this city, and He's called us to be His hands and feet in it.
We're a thriving church of over 1,000 people, but we never want to lose sight of the "one." That's why we've built a church of multiple small groups, because we believe everyone deserves to be known, to grow, and to discover their unique calling.
Whether you're exploring faith for the first time or all in for Jesus, we're here to walk alongside you.
Because at City Church, you're not just another face in the crowd—you're family.

Our Staff
Our Values
Our values make up the DNA of our church, what we believe, and how we act as Christians in pursuit of furthering the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We Pray First
Our relationship with God is #1. As we seek the face of God, we touch heaven, change earth, and invite His presence to come so that people who come to His house can connect with Him. We believe prayer is the foundation of everything we do at City Church and in our daily lives.
The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation. This is the way our Savior God wants us to live. (1 Timothy 2:1-3 MSG)
The Bible is Our Authority
The Bible is the supreme source of truth and our sole authority for Christian beliefs and living. We believe anointed teaching and preaching of the Word is the catalyst for life change. We honor Scripture in all we do, and we teach it in practical, relevant ways.
All Scripture is God-breathed, and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Everyone is Welcome
We are a church that says “Welcome Home” to every man, woman, and child who walks through the doors, regardless of age, race, or walk of life. We believe everyone matters to God, so they matter to us, and we will treat them like family.
Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand – shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16 MSG)
We Take Our Next Steps
Healthy and growing people change. We believe that people, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey, are being transformed by Christ. As fully devoted followers of Christ, we are called to grow strong in Christ and keep moving forward.
This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. (Ephesians 4:13 NLT)
We Are Better Together
We believe life change happens through relationships, and we grow best when we are in community. We connect, care, and grow through Small Groups. Joining a Small Group is the next step in living life in community and building friendships.
Day by day they continued with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. (Acts 2:46-48)
We Equip Everyone to Make a Difference
We believe everyone is called and designed to make a difference in the world. Serving is the pathway to real significance and a meaningful life. The local church is the place God designed for us to discover, develop, and use our gifts.
Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do His work and build up the church, the body of Christ. (Ephesians 4:12)
We Reach Those Who Are Far From God
We believe lost people matter to God, and therefore they matter to us. Our welcome mat reaches into the community and the world. We invite our friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, and even strangers to church. And we invite the community to our campus for Big Days so all can hear about Jesus Christ.
Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. (Mark 16:15)
We Live to Give
We believe it is more blessed to give than receive. We are blessed to be a blessing, and to invest in the advancement of God’s kingdom. We will lead the way as a church and as individuals with crazy, radical, faith-inspired, Holy Spirit generosity!
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in My House. Test me in this and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. (Malachi 3:10)
We Raise Up the Next Generation
We intentionally pass on God’s truth to the younger generation in a relevant, appealing way. We are called to raise, equip, and empower young anointed leaders to serve God and influence culture in all walks of life, locally and globally. Generations who work together bring out the best in everyone.
We will not hide these truths from our children but will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord. (Psalm 78:4)
We Believe Excellence Honors God and Inspires People
We strive to provide compelling worship gatherings to inspire people and attract them to God’s house. We believe that exceeding the expectations of those we serve and continually making improvements springs out of a love for people. We want the House of God to be so irresistible that people can’t wait to come.
In the last days, the mountain of the Lord’s House will be the highest of all – the most important place on earth. It will be raised above the other hills, and people from all over the world will stream there to worship. People from many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of our God. There He will teach us His ways, and we will walk in His paths. (Isaiah 2:2-3 NLT)
Our Beliefs
Our beliefs describe how we view God, Jesus, the Bible, man, and many significant aspects of our faith. Firmly rooted in Scripture as a part of the Assemblies of God, our beliefs guide our decisions as a church.
God
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. God is eternal — that is, He has no beginning and no end. Psalm 90:2
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He was sent by the Father to believers to give them power to live our lives for God and power to testify about Christ. Acts 1:8
Salvation
Salvation is God’s free gift to us but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness, can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith, we are saved. Romans 6:23
Human Beings
Although every person has been created in the image of God and has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by a nature that separates people from God and causes many problems in life. Romans 5:12
A Victorious Christian Life
That God empowers people through His Holy Spirit to live a life that is separated from evil and totally dedicated to Him. This work begins at the moment of salvation and continues throughout their Christian life. 1 Peter 1:15-16
You Are a Minister
The Bible teaches that every Christian is called to “full-time” Christian service, regardless of his or her vocation. We practice the truth that every believer is a minister by encouraging every member to find a place of service and ministry. Every believer has direct access to God through prayer and Bible reading. 1 Peter 2:9
Telling Others About Christ
It is the responsibility of every Christian to share the Good News with those whom God has brought us into contact. We practice personal sharing about Christ and inviting friends to church. 1 Peter 3:15
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. Matthew 1:23
The Bible
The Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth and our sole authority for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error. 2 Peter 1:20-21
Baptism of the Holy Spirit
The baptism in the Holy Spirit is a separate work from salvation. It is a spiritual gift for believers today. The only way possible to live the Christian life is by God’s power within us. So we seek to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and to practice the gift of tongues on a daily basis. We believe dependence on God’s Spirit will enable us to do what is right and to be the witness He has destined us to be. Acts 2:4
The Second Coming of Jesus
Those who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior will be judged by God in His perfect justice and doomed to eternal condemnation. The time of His return is unknown, but may be at any moment. This is the blessed hope of the church. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
Healing
Healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness — body, soul and spirit — is provided for in the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and is a privilege of all believers. Matthew 8:16-17
Tithing
At City Church we practice tithing for the support of Christ’s Body, the church, as God commands. Giving the first 10% of our income is the Biblical standard of giving. A tithe of everything you produce belongs to the Lord. Leviticus 27:30
