SPRING GROUPS BEGIN JANUARY 28!
You were designed by God to live in community. Finding meaningful relationships happens best in Groups, where you are surrounded by people who encourage and challenge you.
City Church has four kinds of Groups: Small Groups, Community Groups, Foundations Groups, and Freedom Groups.
Small Groups are interest-based and can be anything from Bible studies to sport.
Community Groups are places to get to know people and make friends.
Foundations Groups are challenging discipleship groups to help you grow in Christ.
Freedom Groups build on the foundation of your faith in Christ to help you remove every obstacle to intimacy with God and walk in true freedom.
See you in a Group!
Do you want to grow quickly in your faith? Become more mature? Face tough situations better? Then a Foundations group is for you!
Come meet with just a few other men or women for just an hour a week. There, you get to discuss your Bible lessons, share your difficulties and even your failures, encourage each other, and pray for one another. You will be supported and empowered like never before. By the end, you will be equipped to take a few other men or women through this journey of growth yourself.
Groups centered around a shared interest or activity.
What do you love to do? What kind of interest or activity fuels you? What life-stage are you in that largely defines your life rhythms? Interest based groups can be centered around Hiking, Bicycling, Running, Kids Soccer, Cooking, or Gardening. Interest based groups are formed around a shared area of enjoyment or need and use that common ground as an opportunity to grow in their relationship with one another and with Jesus.
Food, fellowship, fun – what could be better? Come join a Community Group if you are new to City Church, want to make friends, or just desire to hang with others. You will snack, get to know each other, talk about Sunday’s message, and share prayer needs.
This is also a safe place to invite your pre-believing friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers who are open to meeting others and finding out about God.
Freedom Groups gather weekly to discuss the Freedom Small Group curriculum, which is designed to equip you to live the victorious and abundant life Christ came to give you. Freedom Groups build on the foundation of your faith in Christ to help you embrace the truth of God’s Word as it relates to your worldview, your past, your sin, your personal value to God, and your purpose in His Kingdom. This group will help you remove every obstacle to intimacy with God and walk in true freedom.

LEAD A GROUP!
Group Leadership Training is your next step! You don’t have to be perfect to lead a Group. Countless times in the Bible, God used ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Your primary role as a Group Leader is to help your group members move one step closer in their walk with God.
A Group is a group of 3 or more people who meet regularly to connect with each other, care for one another, and grow by praying together and studying the Bible. We gather around our interests, including sports, the outdoors, hobbies, ministries, Bible study, or serving. A Group is made up of people who share similar interests, are in the same stage of life, or who want to learn from each other.
Childcare varies from group to group. When you search our directory for a group, the group profile will indicate if childcare is available.
Groups have one simple purpose — to bring people together so we can CONNECT with each other, CARE for one another, and GROW together. We are Better Together, and we are happier too! Groups make life-changing relationships simple.
We are so glad you asked! You can lead a Group by attending Discover City Church, and by attending Group Leader Training (link at the top of this page). Once completed, you will connect with a location representative to get your group ready!
On Church/Planning Center, you can filter for groups based on many things, such as: day of the week, frequency, type of group, age and stage of life!
When groups are in session, you can click the button above & it will take you to Planning Center or Church Center where you can view available groups. Find a group you like and join!
Just tell the leader and they can help you find a new group that is a better fit! We won’t take it personally, we want you to find a group that you love.
