NEXT GENERATION INTERNSHIP
Next Generation Internship (NGI) is designed to provide you the exposure, experience, and knowledge you need to start laying the groundwork for your future calling.
TRACK OPTIONS
NGI offers two tracks for you to choose from. Click on the summer track or ministry track to learn more.
What
Our summer track is a nine-week internship that focuses on Spiritual formation and Biblical foundations. Interns will have the opportunity to serve in two areas of ministry of their choice. Each participant will receive hands-on training and experience the operations of City Church. Interns will attend a weekly discipleship class that will help develop their Spiritual health, and teach them skills to understand the Bible on a deeper level.
Who
Anyone in high school or college, and young adults up to the age of 25.
When
June 3- August 1, 2024
Mon (10A-3P), Tue (8:30A-1P), Wed (8:30A- End of Service), Thur (8:30A-3P), and Sun (8A-12:30P*)
*Subject to change based on the area of ministry you are serving in.
Where
The entire duration of the internship will take place at City Church, with the exception of one intern fun outing (date & time TBD), and the required trip to the PF Youth Summer Camp Jul 3-7 (Lake Wales, FL).
How
Applications will be accessible starting Mar 27 and accepted through May 1. All applicants will be interviewed upon reviewing the application and accepted accordingly. City Church will accept a total of ten interns in the summer of 2024.
Cost
$450
*Includes curriculum, learning materials, t-shirt, lanyard, fun outing, and PF Youth Camp. A $50 Deposit is due by May 29 in order to confirm placement in the internship. Remaining financial deadlines will be discussed upon receiving acceptance notice.
What
Our ministry track is a nine month internship that focuses on equipping young adults that are seeking a career in ministry. Interns will have the opportunity to serve in all areas that make up City Church while receiving hands-on training. Participants will attend a weekly chapel service that will help develop their Spiritual health, and teach them skills to understand the Bible on a deeper level. In addition to acquiring these important skills, interns will study DSOM* courses, with the option of earning a certification of their choice.

Who
High school graduates up to the age of 25.
When
Fall-Spring 2024-25

Where
The entire duration of the internship will take place at City Church, with the exception of miscellaneous events that may take place during the intern’s rotation in a specific area they are serving in.
How
Applications will be accessible starting May 1 and accepted through Jul 24. All applicants will be interviewed upon reviewing the application and accepted accordingly. City Church will accept a total of ten interns in the 2023-2024 academic year.
Cost
$1,500
*Includes site fee (facility usage), orientation, DSOM, t-Shirt, discipleship books, and the ARC* Conference (dates and location are TBD).

OVERVIEW
COMMUNITY
Build community within the church, beyond the internship program, with the opportunity to participate in a small group.
BIBLE STUDY
Create intentional time with God in the midst of a busy schedule by participating in a weekly, Bible study.
TEACHINGS WITH STAFF
Learn directly from the leaders and staff members at City Church on a variety of topics that will stretch, grow, and equip you to succeed.
MENTORSHIP
Sharpen your gifts and talents and push past your comfort zone through development with your assigned mentor. Take ownership of tasks within your department and gain confidence in your leadership.
OUTREACH
Be a part of changing the lives of others in our community by serving with the many outreach organizations that partner with City Church.
