David and Sheryl believe that everyone deserves to hear the Jesus Story, not just from 2,000 years ago, but the Jesus stories of today, and how He longs to be their Savior, Deliverer and Lord. They believe that no one should have to live without the opportunity of hearing about Jesus, about His transforming love, and about the transformation He brings to our lives. That is why they have chosen to go, answering God’s call as missionaries in the Philippines.

David and Sheryl are newly appointed and will be based in Cebu City, Philippines, and hope to leave for the Philippines at the end of this year. They will serve in four (4) primary areas: 1) coaching and training pastors, 2) planting an international church in the city, 3) teaching at Immanuel Bible College, and 4) working with new church plants in the Cebu City area of the Philippines.

But our missionaries can’t do what they have been called to do alone. Our partnership with them matters.

As individuals and as a church, in Matthew 28: 18-20 Jesus tells, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations,[a] baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age. “God into the world and make disciples. We can accomplish this great commission by supporting missionaries.

Please join us in supporting the Hugharts in the following ways:

• Praying for the people of the Philippines, especially for those who have not heard about Jesus
• Financially supporting the Hugharts by giving to missions as part of your weekly or monthly offering
