The Legacy Team consists of individuals and families committed to advancing God's Kingdom through generous, sacrificial giving. Members prayerfully commit to give over and above their tithe to impact eternity for generations to come—to leave a legacy.

Building a future campus for generations to come.
Legacy Campaign 2023-2025
Goal: $13 million over 2 years
Rise & Build will expand City Church Academy with new classrooms, gym, cafeteria, and athletic facilities to serve 500 students committed to developing champions and scholars for Christ.
Why This Matters Now:
- Our school is out of room – and if we could build this tomorrow, we would have a waiting list.
- There is an increased demand for Christian education because our culture has lost its way.
- Every student in Florida, regardless of income, is eligible to receive state-funded private school scholarships.
- The school positions us to fund future missions and ministries to spread the Good News.

City Church will expand our mission of bringing God’s love to the city, one person at a time, by nurturing a vibrant, multi-ethnic congregation of 2,000+ weekly attendees at two campuses along with an Academy of 500 students that is committed to developing champions and scholars for Christ.
We will strengthen families, build generational bridges, and develop future leaders while expanding our reach by doubling our strategic partnerships through missions, leaving an enduring legacy of faith in our community and world.
Your Giving Questions, Answered
What’s the difference between tithes and offerings? Is Legacy giving over and above my tithe?
Tithing is a Biblical concept that means giving 10% of your income consistently each month to support the church's ongoing ministry. Your regular tithe supports our operating budget (ministries, salaries, facilities). Offerings are extra gifts you choose to give for special Legacy projects, missions, or when your heart is moved to give more. Which means that yes, Legacy giving is over and above your tithe.
How long do Legacy Campaigns last?
Typically 1-2 years. Once a year during the month of October, we bring a special offering—one that requires sacrifice and one that builds a legacy for future generations. This offering enables us to take a giant leap forward in fulfilling the big opportunities God has placed before us.
Can I designate where my Legacy gift goes?
Yes. You can specify missions or a particular project when giving online or note it on your check. Otherwise, your gift will automatically go towards the current Legacy Campaign.
Do I need to complete a class to give?
Regular giving and campaign gifts can be made by anyone. To join the Legacy Team for ongoing major gift partnership, we ask that you complete Discover City Church.
Is online giving secure?
Absolutely. We use bank-level encryption and security for all online transactions.
Can I change or cancel my recurring gift?
Yes, you can modify or cancel recurring gifts at any time through your online giving account.
